Reliability is a feature our customers never asked for and would instantly miss. You’d be the person making sure the boring promise — it’s up, it’s fast, it’s safe — stays boring. The best outcome of your work is that nothing happens.

What you’ll actually do

Own SLOs that mean something. Build the observability that catches problems before customers tweet them. Run blameless post-mortems that make the system stronger, and automate yourself out of every task you had to do twice.

You’ll fit right in if

You’ve been on call for systems that mattered and made them calmer. You believe an incident is a gift the system is giving you. You’d rather fix the class of bug than the instance.
